This quirky looking phone system is unique in look and function. It is specifically designed for the hard of hearing with Digital Clarity Power to amplify incoming sounds up to 15 plus decibels. The phone handset is hearing aid compatible and is TIA 1083 complaint.
The entire focus on the Clarity XLC3.5HS Expandable Handset is to improve and customize the listening experience. There is an extra loud ringer with adjustable tones and a loud speakerphone. The keypad is a talking technology with huge buttons which will speak the number that is pushed.
This phone has maximized its potential by including Clarity Logic, a built-in customer support system. This feature is guaranteed to make setup quick and easy. It would be nice if all wireless phone systems had this capability included with it.
The original design once again, focuses on hearing. The earpiece is a designated round with the emphasis being on the ear. Clarity also put thought into how the phone felt while in hand. The expanded comfortable grip is meant to assist calls further.
In the downside, consumers are torn between whether or not this phone is suitable for seniors or the hearing impaired. This can be negated simply by realizing this phone is specially designed for this purpose, making all other phones inferior in this cause.
Manufacturers of this phone have made their intentions clear, however they forget to mention this phone is not a main landline system, but only an extension. For some people who have bought this, they were confused and had to purchase a main wireless phone system in addition to this one.
The price on this phone is confusing as some advertise it as high as $100 dollars while other places bring the cost in at $60 dollars. Be sure to shop around if you are going to purchase this product. This equals out in value as it is a specially designed phone, and a decent phone system would be around this much. Once again, this is an ‘extension handset’.
If you have a hearing aid, your conversation will be clearer if you hold the phone a bit away from the ear. This cordless phone works only with XLC3.4 as an extra handset. Be sure to know what base system you operate before purchasing this extension.

The Cons: Some of the complaints about this model include the phone not holding a decent charge, and phones will go dead with the screen reading ‘low battery’.
